Key Milestones
2013
- Dongshan Investments is incorporated in the UAE as a holding company focused on developing mining exploration and production projects in Africa.
- Dongshan Investments’ subsidiary, Kush for Exploration and Production Co. Ltd., signs a Concession Agreement with the Government of Sudan, securing gold exploration rights for Block 30 in the Red Sea State.
2014
- Kush for Exploration and Production successfully advances a full-scale exploration program (Kush Project) and establishes Alliance for Mining Co. Ltd. as its mining subsidiary.
2015
- First gold pour at Block 30 by Alliance for Mining Co. Ltd.; the pilot CIL plant becomes fully operational.
2016
- The first tonne of gold is produced from the Block 30 project in Sudan. Extensive drilling programs continue to expand the resource base.
2018–2021
- Phased expansion of the gold processing plant to align with the growing resource base of the Kush Gold Project in Sudan.
2020
- A private Emirati investment group acquires 60% majority stake in Dongshan Investments. Dongshan is subsequently rebranded into Emiral Resources.
- Emiral Mining SARL was established as Emiral’s operating arm in Mauritania.
2021
- First tranche investment in a private placement of Asante Gold Corporation (TSX: ASE), a Canadian publicly listed company owning the Kubi Project in Ghana, which subsequently acquires the Bibiani Gold Mine.
- Emiral Mining SARL secures an exploration license in Mauritania and commences active exploration targeting new gold discoveries which marks the beginning of the Iguidi project.
2022
- Emiral Resources participates in a second private placement of Asante Gold. During this period, Asante consolidates ownership of the Bibiani and Chirano projects in Ghana.
2023
- Sample preparation facility contract with MSA LABS for Iguidi project is signed. Extensive exploration works continue on site.
- A private Canadian investor buys out the remaining 40% minority stake of Emiral Resources from Mr Boris Ivanov who is leaving the company.
- Iguidi project Scoping Study completed.
2024
- Iguidi Project on-site sample preparation facility fully operational; major water discovery at the project.
2025
- Emiral Resources announces the successful completion of the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for its Iguidi Project in Mauritania and renews the license for a second 3-year term.
2026
- Emiral Resources delivers the FEED stage for the Iguidi Project.
