The health and safety of our employees is our first priority and our primary objective is to operate the business free of injury and harm. Due to the impact and restrictions caused by COVID-19, Emiral has taken several decisive measures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and support the communities in which we operate in reducing the effect of the epidemic. We continue to monitor and manage the risks across our production and exploration sites.
To date, the company has not experienced any material COVID-19 related disruptions to production or to the supply of goods and services.
Since April 2020, Emiral has provided additional financial support to its on-shift and off- shift staff given that rotation is not possible.
Furthermore, many important precautions have been put into place. These include but are not limited to — daily symptom and temperature checks, mandatory mask and glove attire, social distancing, etc. A fully-equipped quarantine area was set up in Atbara, North-Eastern Sudan. COVID-19 testing equipment remains on site to minimize risk during shift changes. All shift personnel are required to be tested and quarantined for a 14-day period in this area.
